First off, thank you so much all of you who dropped a line on my last journal- I love you all. It makes these things much easier when I just write like that & you guys are so nice!

Yesterday we got yet another call from the vet surgeon's office- Mikey was doing pretty well: eating, sociable, purring, moving his legs. He was contemplating on whether to let Mikey come home yet.

Mikey's home now- we borrowed a neighbor's large kennel for him to stay in. He's really only different physically- some large stitches on his hind legs, waist-down shaven, cathador's still in him, but he's doing alright.

I honestly assumed the worst at points this week- it's been difficult, and I still feel extremely guilty when I see him, even though it isn't completely my fault Mikey stayed out that night & consequentially got injured.

So far, it looks like Mikey will be able to walk normally and get back to normal, but it'll take awhile. It's all complicated with his legs now- pins & needles, a little reconstruction. And Dad seems to be taking it well- he was kind of opposed to all the surgery before.

I love my Mikey- I'll never let anything happen to him. Even if he misbehaves once in awhile (he can be a little rascal sometimes ^_^)
